Ingredients
  

  • 4 large potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • Layer half of the potato slices at the bottom of the dish.
  • Sprinkle half of the minced garlic over the potatoes.
  • Add half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  • Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, garlic, and cheese.
  • Pour heavy cream evenly over the top.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
