Ingredients
  

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Peel and thinly slice the potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  • In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat.
  • Stir in the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Layer half of the potato slices in a greased baking dish.
  • Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  • Sprinkle half of the Gruyère and cheddar cheeses on top.
  • Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
  • Dot the top with butter for extra richness.
  • Bake for 45-60 minutes, until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
